About Me

Jessica Jensen: I am a graduate student at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon completion, I will be one step closer to becoming a phenomenal educator on the secondary level. My content area is social studies. While all domains within this area are relevant, I am most interested in history and geography. As an educator, I hope to ignite the ‘spark’ that motivates students to motivate themselves. I want to make tangible real-world connections that demonstrate the importance of knowledge and comprehension. As a note, I named my blog "La importancia del conocimiento" (the importance of knowledge) because I love the Spanish language and all cultures associated with it.

This is a picture of the Mediterranean Sea. I love geography and am excited to teach about the oceans (and the seas too!) and their relevance to our daily lives.
